Public ledger
Every call gets a fingerprint the moment it is saved.
Your call stays private until you share it. What goes into this public ledger is only a fingerprint, so nobody can change history later, including us.
How it works
- 1When you save a call, our server computes a SHA-256 fingerprint from the call, its exact time and a random salt.
- 2Every hour, the new fingerprints are combined into one Merkle root. Each batch also links to the batch before it.
- 3The batch is sent to OpenTimestamps, a public service that anchors it to the Bitcoin blockchain. Until Bitcoin confirms it, the status reads Submitted.
- 4After a question resolves, the salt of its calls can be revealed, so a call can be checked against its fingerprint.
Fingerprints reveal nothing about what you called or who you are.

Check it yourself
You do not have to trust this page. One small script reads the public tables, rebuilds every batch from its fingerprints and checks that the roots and the chain match. It needs Node 18 or newer and nothing else.
